I am the Editor-in-Chief of the Cinema and Media Studies "Module" for the new Oxford Bibliographies Online. This is the "anti-Google," designed to cut through the clutter and offer students, scholars, and researchers carefully annotated, fully peer-reviewed bibliographies in 53 areas. The bibliographies will be updated quarterly, and new bibliographic essays will be added regularly. Within four years, there should be more than 300 bibliographic essays on the Web site. Oxford University Press has devoted more funds to OBO than to any project since the Oxford English Dictionary. I am proud to be part of this project, and I have been delighted that so many first-rate scholars have signed on to write the bibliographic essays.
